Rent: Jan 22nd to Feb 6th
Book, Music & Lyrics by Jonathan Larson
We are proud to be the first community theater group in this area to present this Tony award winning Broadway musical based loosely on Puccini's opera “La Bohème.” It follows a year in the lives of seven friends living in the disappearing Bohemian lifestyle in New York's East Village. AIDS and both its physical and emotional complication pervade the lives of Roger, Mimi, Tom, and Angel; Maureen deals with her chronic infidelity through performance art; her partner, Joanne, wonders if their relationship is worth the trouble; Benjamin has sold out his Bohemian ideals in exchange for a hefty income and is on the outs with his former friends; and Mark, an aspiring filmmaker, feels like an outsider to life in general, always behind the camera recording the events but never playing a part. You will love the music in this blockbuster hit. Don’t miss it! ..................DIRECTED BY LAURI HUDSON |

DOUBT: Mar 12th to Mar 20th
Written by John Patrick Shanley
Winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award. "All the elements come invigoratingly together like clockwork in this provocative play. This play is a gripping story of suspicion cast on a priest's behavior that is less about scandal than about fascinatingly nuanced questions of moral certainty. Shanley creates four blazingly individual people. DOUBT is a lean, potent drama…passionate, exquisite, important and engrossing." —NY Newsday. Meryl Streep, Philip Symour Hoffman and Amy Adams recently starred in the smash hit Hollywood movie “Doubt” that garnered 5 academy award nominations. One play that will not disappoint.

Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II
Book by Howard Lindsay, Russel Crouse
This collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world's most beloved musical. When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain, and they marry. Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by the Nazis, who demand the Captain's immediate service in their navy. The family's narrow escape over the mountains to Switzerland on the eve of World War II provides one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre. The motion picture version remains the most popular movie musical of all time. One for the whole family!

Into The Woods:
CANCELLED
Book by James Lapine
Music & Lyrics Stephen Sondheim
An ambivalent Cinderella? A blood-thirsty Little Red Ridinghood? A Prince Charming with a roving eye? A Witch...who raps? They're all among the cockeyed characters in James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's fractured fairy tale. When a Baker and his Wife learn they've been cursed with childlessness by the Witch next door, they embark on a quest for the special objects required to break the spell, swindling, lying to and stealing from Cinderella, Little Red, Rapunzel and Jack (the one who climbed the beanstalk). Everyone's wish is granted at the end of Act One, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later, with disastrous results. What begins a lively irreverent fantasy in the style of "The Princess Bride" becomes a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children. This is a tongue in cheek take on some favorite classics. A funny tale for adults and children alike. The music in this show is incredible; this is a must see!!…………………………………………DIRECTED BY JO MCMAHON |

Urinetown The Musical:
Williamstown Middle School Theater
561 Clayton Avenue
Williamstown, NJ 08094
THE ORIGINAL CAST IS BACK! FOR THREE NIGHTS ONLY we are bringing back one of the most uproariously funny musicals the The Road Company has done in recent years. This benefit performance is to raise money for the "Make it Grand Again Campaign Fund". All proceeds will go towards the building of the new theater. The Road Company did URINETOWN in 2006 to sold out audiences. It is a hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides he's had enough, and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! Inspired by the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, URINETOWN is an irreverently humorous satire in which no one is safe from scrutiny. Praised for reinvigorating the very notion of what a musical could be, URINETOWN catapults the "comedic romp" into the new millennium with its outrageous perspective, wickedly modern wit, and sustained ability to produce gales of unbridled laughter. You will pee yourself laughing! Suitable for all ages. Don't miss this one and help out The Road Company in its drive to rebuild the Grand Theater.
